MODERNSPEAK, Travel Alberta and Explore Edmonton teamed up for Creator Co., an innovative approach to influencer marketing, which offers a dedicated, always-on digital strategy by partnering with travel, lifestyle, culinary and outdoor adventure influencers and writers.

Creator Co. by MODERNSPEAK focuses on a longer-term program integrating the best in influencer campaigns, multi-channel content creation, strategic partnerships and endless storytelling possibilities. 

We target creators from your target markets, focusing on a match for your audience, niche and brand fit, and welcome them to your destination on a free-style itinerary. The Campaign

Over the course of 6 months, MODERNSPEAK sourced, vetted and organized 12 creators to visit Edmonton, Alberta for 2-7 days at a time, delivering a plethora of content and social sharing highlighting the new exciting opportunities for adventure in Edmonton and surrounding area.

Wanting to offer plenty of time for creativity and immersive experiences, creators were given the freedom to explore the destination and surrounding areas without the restraints of an itinerary. They were set up with accommodations, recommended activities, and suggested places to visit based on their content niches and interests.

The Result

Over the course of the six month campaign, the destination hosted 12 influencers who visit multiple attractions and events, hotels, restaurants and neighbourhoods highlighting the energy and vitality of the city. These creators generated 377 social posts which garnered over 4.63M Impressions and 267K engagements. The client's social media and marketing teams were able to amplify this content and showcase their partnerships with tourism providers and to use creaor content in their own marketing and PR efforts.

Overall the campaign was a huge success and Explore Edmonton was thrilled with the results and the opportunity to work on an innovative and digital forward project.
